To All Who’ve Stopped By—Thank You

To those who enjoy my writing—thank you. Sincerely. Not the throwaway kind of thank you you mutter when someone holds the elevator, but a proper one. The kind that comes with the quiet delight of knowing someone out there paused in their day—between emails and grocery lists—to read something I put into words. Without you, this whole thing would’ve stayed a curious little pastime, like organizing my socks by mood or talking to the dog a bit too much. I’d still be writing, of course, but just for myself—and probably under the worried eye of a close friend.

If, in some small way, my stories made you smile or forget the mess and mayhem of the day—if only for a few minutes—then that means the world. That was always the hope.

And to those who don’t like what I write—my tone, my stories, or the very idea of me with a keyboard—I thank you, too. Odd as that may sound. You remind me that the world isn’t built entirely of soft landings and affirming head nods. Sometimes people just don’t like you, and sometimes they’ll go out of their way to tell you so with the kind of flair usually reserved for angry CNN or Fox reviews. That’s life.

But to those who take the time to be unkind: you don’t know me. And that’s a shame. Maybe, in a different version of things, we could’ve shared a laugh or swapped stories about difficult mornings and unreliable coffee makers. Instead, you chose to hurl stones at something I built with my bare words. I don’t understand it. I don’t think I ever will. But still—I hope you find peace. I hope something makes you smile. I hope whatever’s weighing on you finds a lighter place to rest.

Hate, after all, is a heavy suitcase to carry through life. And the world—while frequently unfair—is also strange and beautiful and unexpectedly kind when you least expect it.

So this is my little note of thanks. To all of you. For reading, reacting, criticizing, cheering, disappearing, returning. For making this odd little corner of mine feel a little more alive.

I appreciate you.

Thanks for dropping by my little corner of the world. If the story gave you a chuckle or made you pause and think, a like would be mighty kind. And if you’re feeling adventurous, well, hitting that subscribe button is like pulling up a chair and staying a while—always room for one more.

I subscribe back, by the way. It’s my way of saying, “Welcome to the club—snacks are in the back, goodtimes up front!”

Your comments make me smile, sometimes laugh out loud, and every now and then, they nudge me to dig a little deeper, write a little better. So, stick around—who knows what we’ll stumble upon next!
